Play Responsibly

When playing Spots v Stripes we want to make sure you all play nicely, and are aware of our rules around fair play, safe play, respecting other players and respecting legal things, such as rights, restrictions and copyright. Here’s a quick run down of the key points

Safety First

• We know you’re all psyched up and ready for action, but please take care when playing Spots v Stripes. We want to keep everyone safe whilst having fun.
• Before trying anything daring or strenuous, make sure your fitness levels are up to it! If you’re set, then spend a couple of minutes stretching and getting warmed up, and try not to over do it either.
• Don’t do anything dangerous! We want you to stay safe out there! And remember, don’t encourage anyone else to do something dangerous either.

Be Nice

• Don’t do, write or upload anything that could cause offence or harm to any group, any race, or individual. Sexist, racist or homophobic content, or any other content that we consider to be offensive or inappropriate will not be tolerated. Spots v Stripes is for everyone, let's keep it that way.
• Watch your language. There are youngsters present, so let’s keep it clean. Swearing, libel, defamation, bullying or content featuring illegal activity is not allowed. Please remember that we want Spots v Stripes to be for everyone so if there is anything up there that could be illegal, offensive or unsuitable in any way, we reserve the right to take it down.

Legal Stuff

• Before you upload any content, make sure you own the rights to it. Yes, you might have seen a fantastic video on the web, but if it’s not by you, please don’t try to enter it. We want to see what YOU can do.
• You won’t be able to show smoking, drinking, gambling, guns, nudity or violence in the content you upload.
• Got a cast of thousands? Or just the one? Make sure you get everyone’s consent to appear! You don’t want anyone complaining about having their image or name seen online. And remember, if you’re showing children, you need their parents’ consent.
• Please don’t attempt to impersonate other people, famous or otherwise.
• Want to show off your bling? Feel free, but keep any labels and logos under wraps. You’ll also have to avoid mentioning brands or showing branded items too; though we can live with Cadbury.
• Don’t use or make reference to any music in your content unless you created and own the rights to it. Buying a CD or MP3 doesn’t count.
• Remember Spots v Stripes is for everyone to enjoy and get involved in so we may have to take your content down if we don't think it is appropriate.
